The Rajkó Folk Ensemble and Orchestra is unique in the world. Its orchestra is continually renewing itself and integrating new talents into the group.

The Rajkó Orchestra is very versatile, performing as a major orchestra with up to 50 members or as a chamber orchestra. The musicians also accompany the group’s singers and dancers.

The Orchestra’s large and varied repertoire is another example of the musician’s skillfulness. During the performances, the group plays many different genres of music, including Gypsy music, folk, light opera, and the world’s greatest classic literature.

The Rajkó Folk Ensemble also includes approximately 60 dancers who not only specialize in Hungarian traditional Folk dances but also perform ballets and modern dance.

The Ensemble

The world-famous Ensemble was founded by various Hungarian Romani musician dynasties that have inherited musical talent and respective traditions.

Before joining the group, the members studied at the prestigious Rajkó Conservatory, where the greatest talents are spotted. All the members train for at least eight to ten years before they become part of the Rajkó Folk Ensemble and Orchestra.
