Apart from the Buda Castle Royal Gardens or Gellért Hill to get to the Citadella, Budapest has two large and beautiful parks worth exploring.
Although you might think that one park is very much like the last, there are some parks and gardens in Budapest that we consider unmissable.
Budapest City Park
The Budapest City Park, also known as Városliget Park, is one of the city’s most popular public parks where many go to relax and enjoy the sun.
Margaret Island
Located on the Danube River, between Buda and Pest, the Margaret Island has a large and beautiful park that offers plenty of things to do.
Although Budapest’s parks and gardens are perfect for relaxing and resting after a long day of sightseeing, we also recommend visiting the city’s spas and thermal baths. A real treat for all the senses.
